Welfareson Khongriah has been awarded PhD by the North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, for his research work on ‘Characterization of bacteria associated with traditionally fermented soybean products of North-East India’, which he completed under the supervision of Prof. SR Joshi, Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, NEHU, Shillong.
