Rousing welcome for ‘Mrs World Peace’ title-holder Pinki Maring

NONGPOH, July 1: Pinki Maring, hailing from the Ri-Bhoi, who has been crowned ‘Mrs. World Peace’ and ‘Mrs. Beautiful Skin’ during Season 2 of Mrs. World International 2024, received a grand welcome on her arrival at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati on Monday evening.
Her relatives, the Maring clan, along with friends, greeted her enthusiastically on her arrival. Pinki Maring is also the winner of the first Miss Meghalaya pageant in 1998.
The beauty contest, held on June 1 this year at Leela Hotels and Resorts in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon, was organised by Glamour Gurgaon and featured around 500 women from different parts of the world. Pinki Maring emerged victorious among the 60 finalists, clinching the titles of Mrs. World Peace and Mrs. Beautiful Skin.
Upon her arrival at the Guwahati airport, a beaming Pinki Maring was surrounded by jubilant cheers from her family, friends, and the Maring clan. The community celebrated her achievement with dancing and joy, reflecting the pride and honor her victory brought to her family, village, state, and the country.
Pinki Maring expressed her gratitude to God for guiding her to success. She also thanked her parents, relatives, and the Maring clan for their unwavering support.
She also conveyed a message of strength and determination to the public, emphasising optimism and perseverance. “If I can fulfill my dream, you too can fulfill yours,” she asserted.
