The ‘Gender Champions’ pose after being felicitated for their outstanding contribution to gender equality, at the St. Edmund’s College AV Room on Monday. Vicky Lamare and Deiname Hynniewta of the college were also felicitated as gender champions. The
selection process for ‘Gender Champions’, an initiative of St. Edmund’s College, was carried out based on ‘Guidelines for Gender Champions in Higher Educational
Institutions’ given by the University Grants Commission. A total of 14 students
from diverse backgrounds had applied for the post of gender champions.
