According to a statement here, Shillong MP Ricky AJ Syngkon will attend the programme as the chief guest.

The Housing Department will host a felicitation ceremony for the employees of the Meghalaya State Housing Board, who had accepted the Voluntary Retirement Scheme 2024, at 12 noon on Tuesday on the premises of the Board at Madan Laban, Opposite Railway Guest House.

Live-stream
The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Meghalaya, in collaboration with the Office of West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner and Ladthalaboh Jowai Durbar Chnong, will live-stream the Durand Cup semi-final match between Northeast United FC and Shillong Lajong FC at Madan Daimasi Ladthalaboh Jowai at 5:30 pm on August 26.

Corrigendum
In the news report titled ‘DERT faces backlash over Rs 2,000 pay offer for research associate’, which appeared on August 24, 2024, edition of The Shillong Times, the amount mentioned was incorrect. The correct title should be ‘DERT faces backlash over Rs 12,000 pay offer for research associate’. The inadvertent error is regretted.
