Head-on collision in Assam kills Tura resident

TURA, Sep 14: A head-on collision between a public bus and a scooty on Saturday left one 38-year-old resident of Tura dead on the spot in the village of Kothakuthi near Dhupdhara in Assam.
As per reports, one Ajay Modak, a resident of Sepoy Colony, was returning to Tura on a scooty when he was hit by a bus coming from the opposite side around 4.30 pm. The bus was on its way to Guwahati from Goalpara.
Modak was killed on the spot due to the impact of the collision.
Meanwhile, the bus that was part of the incident has been detained.
