IAF issues notice to fighter pilot accused of rape
NEW DELHI, Oct 4: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has slapped a show-cause notice on a wing commander after a court of inquiry probing allegations of rape against him found that he violated protocols.The notice was served on the fighter pilot, who is posted at Ambala air base.The IAF does not tolerate such acts of moral turpitude.In the show-cause notice, the IAF asked the officer why his services should not be terminated.A 25-year-old former civilian intern at the Institute of Aerospace Safety in Palam has accused the wing commander of rape.The IAF had ordered investigations into the allegations.The intern had filed a detailed complaint with the IAF in the case in March this year.She alleged that the officer raped her in November 2023. It is learnt that the woman had also filed a complaint with Delhi Police in December 2023. (PTI)
21 year old woman gang-raped, her male friend assaulted
PUNE, Oct 4: A 21-year-old woman was allegedly raped by three unidentified persons, who also tied her male friend to a tree and assaulted him at an isolated place on the outskirts of Pune city, police said on Friday.The horrific incident took place in the Bopdev Ghar area at around 11 pm on Thursday and a day later police released sketches of two of the suspects as they intensified efforts to trace the culprits and sought help of citizens to nab them.. The trio first tied the woman’s male friend to a tree at the crime scene and then took turns to rape her.The police came to know about the incident at around 5 am on Friday after the woman along with her male friend approached a government-run hospital.Ten police teams have been formed to trace the accused, he informed.(PTI)
Class 8 student stabs to death 15-year-old boy
JABALPUR, (MP) Oct 4: A 15-year-old boy allegedly stabbed to death a Class IX student in MP’s Jabalpur district.The accused, who studies in Class VIII, had also sent a message on victim Rohit Prajapati’s cellphone threatening to kill him following an altercation, the police said. The accused and the victim, both 15, studied in different schools. Both had an argument over phone a couple of days ago. The accused threatened to kill Rohit Prajapati. He waylaid Prajapati on Thursday evening and stabbed him,” the police said.He was rushed to thospital where he succumbed to stab wounds on Friday morning. The accused has been taken into custody.
