BSF nabs Bangla natl, Indian associates with Rs 2.32 lakh

SHILLONG, Oct 8: Personnel of Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya Frontier, on Monday apprehended one Bangladeshi national and two Indian associates near the Indo-Bangladesh border in East Khasi Hills district here.
According to a statement here, Indian currency amounting to Rs 2.32 lakh was recovered from their possession.
“Acting on specific info, troops of 110 Bn BSF Meghalaya intercepted a vehicle on the Ryngku-Mawsynram road near the international border and apprehended a Bangladeshi national identified as Mohmmad Milan Ahamed, a resident of Sunamganj district of Bangladesh, and two Indian associates,” the BSF said in a statement here.
Meanwhile, the apprehended individuals, along with the recovered items, have been handed over to the Mawsynram Police Station for further investigation and necessary action, the BSF said.
