SHILLONG, Oct 17: The internationally acclaimed film, Rapture, directed by award-winning filmmaker Dominic Megam Sangma, will be screened in Shillong from November 7 to 11. This event is hosted by the Arts and Culture department in collaboration with Fraternity Art Cine Entertainment Shillong (FACES).
Screenings will take place at U Soso Tham Auditorium, with three daily showtimes being 12:15 pm, 2:40 pm, and 5:15 pm.
Rapture recently premiered in 150 theaters across France, receiving praise for its compelling narrative and stunning cinematography, which beautifully captures the essence of Meghalaya’s landscapes and cultural depth. The film’s exploration of cultural identity and human emotion has resonated with audiences worldwide, and now it will be showcased for the local audience in its place of origin.
The screening is part of a larger initiative by the Arts and Culture department to celebrate and support indigenous filmmakers.
