Tura, Nov 2: Withholding of interviews and screening tests conducted by the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) has been sought by Resubelpara MDC Rinaldo K Sangma until a new Garo representative is appointed on the board of panelists.
The MDC said that the absence of a Garo member on the board may inadvertently create an undue advantage for candidates from other communities.
He pointed out that the term of the previous Garo member on the panel has recently concluded posing a significant risk of disadvantage for our Garo candidates.
He felt that equal representation of all communities was vital for ensuring a just and fair procedure.
“Conducting further screening tests and interviews without filling the vacuum may compromise the fairness and equity of the selection process. The absence of a Garo member of the board of panel may significantly disadvantage our aspiring Garo candidates,” he stated.
