74th Foundation Day celebration of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, at Raj Bhavan on Thursday

celebration of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, at Raj Bhavan on
Thursday. The Governor was inducted as the Chief Patron of the Meghalaya
Bharat Scouts and Guides. The annual programme also included the handing over
of the Rajya Puraskar (Governor’s Award) certificates, being the highest state award, to a total of 348 Scouts/Guides and Rovers/Rangers from various schools
and colleges around the state for their dedication and perseverance. Four adult
leaders were also handed the Warrant of Appointments for taking over their
respective roles in the Movement. A walkathon was also carried out
by the awardees in the early hours of the day.
