SPARK observes International Child Rights Day

SHILLONG, Nov 20: Joining the global observance of International Child Rights Day, SPARK organised a programme on Wednesday, raising awareness about children’s rights and empowering them to envision a brighter future.
According to a statement here, the programme, thematised on ‘Listen to the Future’, engaged 350 children across various locations, viz. Mawling village, Mawlynrei village, Pongkung village, Rangmen village and Bara Bazaar Slum.
“The children actively participated, showing great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to live dignified lives in a safe and respectful environment,” the SPARK said its statement.
