KIIT secures 4th Rank in India, 92nd globally in Interdisciplinary Science Rankings

SHILLONG, Nov 28: KIIT Deemed to be University (KIIT-DU) has achieved 4th place among Indian universities in the inaugural Times Higher Education (THE) Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025. The rankings, which recognise excellence in interdisciplinary scientific research, placed KIIT 92nd globally, making it one of only four Indian institutions in the top 100.
India’s presence in the rankings is strong, with 65 universities listed, including seven in the global top 100. Anna University leads Indian institutions with a global rank of 41.
Despite being just 27 years old, and a deemed university for 21 years, KIIT has made significant contributions to the global scientific community.
Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS, celebrated this achievement, attributing it to the dedication of researchers, faculty, staff, and students. He commended their efforts in advancing research, innovation, and quality publications, which have solidified KIIT’s place as a leader in interdisciplinary science. (Sponsored)
