The meeting highlighted the MDA government’s commitment to the successful implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the region.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, PHE Minister Marak expressed satisfaction with the progress of projects in South West Khasi Hills. “During my review, I found that work is progressing well, with most projects nearing completion. I am very happy to note that there are fewer complaints from the people of this district,” Marak said, congratulating the officers for their hard work.
Regarding the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), the minister emphasised the need for improved solid waste management. “We need to push a little harder in this area.
