St. Anthony’s faculty member among top two pc of global scientists

SHILLONG, Dec 6: St. Anthony’s College, Shillong, has announced that Dr. Sanku Dey, a faculty member of its Department of Statistics, has been successfully ranked among the top two per cent of scientists worldwide.
This recognition comes from the prestigious list released by Stanford University, USA, in 2024, highlighting Dr. Dey’s significant contributions to statistical research as well as academia.
It is pertinent to note that Dr. Dey boasts an impressive portfolio of 305 research publications and has accumulated 5,027 citations from scholars across the globe. Among the 2,23,153 scientists featured on the list, he achieved an outstanding global rank of 57,410.
The data, published on September 16, 2024, in the Elsevier Data Repository, is part of the report titled “August 2024 Data-Update for ‘Updated Science-Wide Author Databases of Standardized Citation Indicators’.”
This repository provides standardised insights on citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in various authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score).
