String of bike thefts rock Shillong

SHILLONG, Dec 30: A series of motorcycle thefts rocked Shillong as multiple incidents were reported over the past few days, according to a police report.
On December 27, a motorcycle bearing registration number ML-05AD-1608, owned by Laldingliana, was stolen from Bivar Road. On the same day, another motorcycle, ML-05AD-1964, belonging to Rahul Das of Pynthorbah, was taken from Police Bazar.
In a separate incident, a motorcycle with registration number ML-05AA-0747, owned by Barry Lang Lynshing, was stolen from Malki Chinapaty on December 27.
Meanwhile, on December 26, BSF personnel stationed at Shella recovered an unregistered motorcycle and handed it over to Customs officials at Shella, East Khasi Hills.
Investigations are under way to identify the culprits and recover the stolen vehicles.
