The National Flag on the PWD Complex at Barik has been damaged due to strong winds. Visuals of the torn green band on the flag emerged on Thursday morning
after which authorities pulled down the flag. The 131-ft tall National Flag was
hoisted by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on September 3 last year as part
of the Rs 25-crore master plan for redevelopment of the Barik Complex. (ST)
