SGH group raises issues with Tura MP

TURA, Jan 22: The GSU from Nongalbibra in South Garo Hills has submitted a memorandum to Tura MP Saleng A Sangma urging him to look into various developmental issues in the area.
In its memorandum, dated Tuesday (Jan 21), the union sought the construction of a mini stadium at Jakalgittim playground as well as a multi facility centre in Nongalbibra. The union also sought assistance in the construction of the GSU building in the area.
With regard to health infrastructure, the union sought the upgrade of the Nongalbibra PHC to at least a 30-bed hospital. The union also sought the appointment of sufficient staff at the PHC to cater to the needs of the growing population.
