Assam man held for suspected murder in EJH

SHILLONG, Jan 31: Police have arrested a resident of Hailakandi, Assam, in the case of a suspected murder in East Jaintia Hills.
The murder case was reported at Ladrymbai Outpost on January 29.
The body was reportedly discovered from a residence in the district. Oficers and personnel rushed to the scene along with the Crime Scene Unit and Forensics for collection of evidence and to conduct an investigation.
Subsequently, a case was registered under Section 103 BNS and the accused, identified as Saidul Alom Barbhuiya, 38, a resident of Hailakandi, Assam, was arrested within 24 hours.
While the investigation is under way, further details are awaited.
