JOWAI, Feb 16: Prominent NPP leaders including Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar and party supporters participated in a public gathering as part of the election campaign for party candidate Pheinshwa Nangleiñ organised in Sanaro village, West Jaiñtia Hills district, on Saturday.
Supporters from across the constituency gathered to express their confidence in Nangleiñ, hoping for his victory in the upcoming council election. With three candidates representing NPP, UDP, and VPP in the fray, there is considerable competition, but Nangleiñ’s supporters are optimistic about his chances. During the rally, Nangleiñ was joined by other key party leaders who delivered speeches and encouraged the candidate to stay determined and confident in his campaign.
In his address, Sniawbhalang Dhar, a successful MLA in the region, urged the community to offer their full support to Nangleiñ, highlighting his efforts to improve local infrastructure, including churches, schools, and roads in the area. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the victory of a dedicated leader who will work for the betterment of the entire region. Dhar called on the people to seize this opportunity to elect Pheinshwa Nangleiñ, stressing that this is a crucial chance for the village to have a representative who would serve them with integrity and commitment.
He expressed confidence that the people would not let down their NPP candidate, who is committed to working for the betterment of the community.
