Umling entry point remains unoccupied

SHILLONG, March 1: The tourist facilitation centre cum entry point at Umling that was used to screen people before entering the state during the Covid-19 pandemic is lying idle for many years now.
It is said that the place has remained isolated even though Rs 3 crore was spent on the project. Many opined that the place could be utilised by the government for different purposes or allotted for shops, restaurants etc on the highway, however, after the pandemic the place remained unoccupied.
