City team to compete in cricket tourney in Guwahati

Shillong, April 5: Shillong Cricket Academy is all set to participate in the 10th edition of the Sitaram Chhawcharia Memorial U-19 Cricket Tournament (50 overs), hosted by Bud Cricket Club. The tournament will kick off on April 7 at the NFRSA Cricket Ground in Maligaon, Guwahati.
This year’s edition features a league format, with 15 teams divided into five groups comprising three teams each. Every team will play two league matches in the first round.Alongside 10 teams from Guwahati, five outstation teams have confirmed their participation — Shillong Cricket Academy, BNCCA Dhubri, Triranga Cricket Coaching Centre, Goalpara Cricket Academy, and Mangaldai Cricket Academy — promising a competitive and diverse field.Last year’s champions, We R North East, will face Santipur Athletic Club in the opening match on April 7.
