M’laya govt announces 3 pc hike in DA

SHILLONG, April 15: The state government has announced a three per cent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for all categories of state government employees, pensioners and family pensioners.
According to an Office Memorandum issued by the state government, the DA/DR will be revised from the existing rate of 46 per cent to 49 per cent, with effect from 1st January 2025.
The revised rates will also apply to members of the work-charged establishment and casual workers—excluding Bungalow Peons—who hold posts in pay levels equivalent to those in the regular establishment or services, the notification stated.
