MLA’s security officer kills himself with service AK-47
BALODABAZAR, April 20: A personal security officer of Congress MLA Indra Sao died after he allegedly shot himself with his service weapon on Sunday, police said.Constable Digeshwar Gagda (30) turned his AK-47 rifle on himself around 2.30 pm at his government quarter in front of the residence of the MLA in Bhatapara town, a police official said.On hearing the gunshot, other staffers rushed there and found Gagda lying in a pool of blood, he said.A native of Bastar district, Gagda had been deployed as the PSO for Sao, who represents Bhatapara constituency, since the last assembly elections in 2023, the official said. Urinated on, sexually assaulted by two men, alleges Dalit youth
JAIPUR, April 20: 19-year-old Dalit youth from Sikar district of Rajasthan has alleged that he was beaten, urinated on and sexually assaulted by two men, police said on Sunday.A case has been registered.According to the complaint, the youth stepped out to watch a wedding procession in his village on April 8 when the two accused called him to a bus stand on the pretext of some work.The two then took him to a secluded location and hit him, including on his private parts, forced him to remove his clothes and performed unnatural sex on him, the complaint stated.“They were drunk. They hit me with a bottle, urinated on me and used casteist slurs,” the victim alleged, adding that the accused also recorded a video of their acts and “threatened” to share it on social media if he told anyone about the incident.According to the complainant, the accused intended to harm his father, who is currently abroad. Groom-to-be among two killed in mishap
RATLAM, (MP) April 20: Two persons, including a man whose wedding was scheduled in a fortnight, were killed and three others injured when two motorbikes collided in MP’s Ratlam district, police said on Sunday. Ramlal Damor (22), was returning on a motorcycle after inviting relatives in for his marriage, police said.The two-wheeler of Damor, who was accompanied by two other relatives, collided with a scooter.Damor died while his two relatives were injured. Besides, Gani Mohammed (52), who was riding the other vehicle, was also killed and his companion suffered injuries. (PTI)
