M’laya excels in ICSE, ISC

SHILLONG, April 30: Schools across Meghalaya have delivered remarkable performances in the ICSE and ISC examinations, the results of which were announced on Wednesday. Most institutions achieved a 100 per cent pass rate, reflecting consistent academic excellence.
At St. Edmund’s School, all 130 students who appeared for the ICSE exams successfully passed. School Principal Brother Solomon Morris expressed pride in their performance, especially highlighting Omanshu as the school topper with an impressive 98%.
Omanshu scored a perfect 100 in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Applications, Mathematics, and History-Civics-Geography (HCG); 99 in Science; 95 in Hindi; and 92 in English.
“What impresses me the most is that he excelled in all seven subjects. I had no doubt he would top the school, as he is a brilliant student,” Brother Morris said.
Pine Mount School also reported a perfect pass rate in both the ICSE and ISC examinations. All 125 ICSE and 59 ISC candidates cleared the exams. Amanda V. Pale topped the ICSE batch with 96.8%, while Larikynti Dkhar led the ISC Science stream with 91.75%. In the Humanities stream, Aniksha D. Dhar topped with 96%, and in Commerce, Kiwadaki Laloo scored 85.75% to secure the highest position.
Loreto Convent maintained its legacy of excellence, with all 87 ICSE and 40 ISC candidates passing. The ICSE topper scored 97.6%, while the ISC Humanities topper achieved 98.3%, and the Science stream topper secured 93%.
At Meghalaya Police Public School (MPPS), all 59 ICSE students passed. The top scorers were Analeigh Faith Lyngdoh Mawphlang with 93.6%, and Melamnaeman Basaiawmoit with 93.4%.
Shillong Public School recorded a 94% pass rate in ICSE and a 100% pass rate in ISC. Of the 46 ICSE students, 43 passed, while all 26 ISC candidates succeeded. The ICSE topper scored 92%, and the ISC topper achieved 94%.
Jowai Public School celebrated a 100% ICSE pass rate, with all 58 students passing. The school topper secured 88.8%, and 41 students achieved first division marks.
Tura Public School also recorded a 100% pass rate, with all 23 ICSE candidates clearing the exam. Tanishka Debnath topped the school with 92%.
