EKH court convicts one in POCSO case

SHILLONG, May 5: The Court of Special Judge (POCSO), East Khasi Hills, on May 2 convicted one Noni Chakraborty in connection with a POCSO case.
The accused was found guilty under Section 8 of the POCSO Act and Sections 376AB/506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The court sentenced Chakraborty to four years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 3,000. In default of payment, he is to undergo an additional one month of simple imprisonment.
