EKHDCA to host district chess selection tourney on May 30, 31

Shillong, May 12: The East Khasi Hills District Chess Association (EKHDCA) has announced that it will conduct its District Selection Chess Tournament on May 30 and 31, 2025.
The event will take place at the Khasi National Dorbar Hall, near YMCA, Mawkhar, Shillong, starting at 9:00 a.m. sharp on both mentioned days.
The top 20 players from the tournament will earn the opportunity to represent East Khasi Hills District at the upcoming 48th Meghalaya State FIDE Rating Chess Championship 2025, which is tentatively scheduled to be held in Shillong in the third week of June.
The entry fee for the selection tournament is ₹300, with a discounted rate of ₹250 for players already registered with the All India Chess Federation (AICF).
Interested participants can pay the fee via GPay to the number 8794777913 and must submit their name along with the transaction ID to the same number.
The last date to register is May 29, 2025, by 6:00 p.m.
