Potential buyer flees with bike
Kulbanstar Myrthong verbally reported on June 13 evening that an unidentified person took his motorcycle (AS-05E-8255) from Umshyrpi, Shillong, for a test ride on the pretext of purchasing the same and failed to return back.

Assault
A complaint was lodged that on the night of June 12, residents of Paulpara in South West Garo Hills assaulted one Johurul Sheikh (35) of the same village. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Mahendraganj.

Duped
A female resident of a locality in Shillong lodged a complaint that on April 1, 2025, that she came across one advertisement on Instagram, relating to investment and when she clicked to the link provided she was redirected to browse one Telegram account viz., ‘Pooja Sawant’, wherein she was induced to invest money with high returns. Following this, the complainant transferred Rs 12,000, Rs 23,384 and Rs 26,892 to three persons viz., Ayush, Nirmal Singad and Anshuman Nath respectively. However, later she realised that she has been cheated.

Theft
One Satyam Yadav lodged a complaint that on June 13 around 11.30 am, his technical team found that miscreant(s) stole wires / cables valued around Rs 50,000 in total from the Smart City Project Pole at Lachumiere, Shillong.
