Shillong, July 7: It was a proud moment for Meghalaya Police as two of its personnel brought home gold medals from the World Police & Fire Games 2025, currently underway in the United States.
Alan Marbaniang clinched the gold medal in the Arm Wrestling 90kg (30+ Right Hand) category, showcasing immense strength and skill on the international stage. Adding to the state’s glory, Wandalin Syiemiong delivered a stellar performance by winning double gold in the 65kg (30+ Left & Right Hand) categories.
Their victories have not only brought laurels to Meghalaya Police but have also placed India on the global map in arm wrestling at the prestigious multi-sport event for police officers and firefighters worldwide.Their remarkable achievements have sparked pride and admiration across Meghalaya, highlighting the dedication, discipline, and physical prowess of the state’s police personnel.
