NONGPOH, July 19: Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem on Saturday interacted with students undergoing skill development training at Ri-Bhoi College, Nongpoh, under a programme supported by the MLA in collaboration with the Ri-Bhoi District Administration and funded through the Chief Minister’s Career Guidance Scheme.
Speaking to the media persons after the session, Syiem said the visit aimed to engage directly with the students, understand their experiences and gather feedback on the programme’s benefits.
He noted that such interactions are important in identifying gaps in the training system, allowing measures to be taken to improve the quality of guidance and instruction offered to the students.
The MLA shared that the conversation with the trainees revealed useful insights into the advantages of the scheme, with many students also offering valuable suggestions for further improvement.
He assured that these suggestions would be taken seriously and that efforts would be made to implement changes to make the training more effective and impactful.
Syiem also expressed gratitude to the management of Ri-Bhoi College for their cooperation and for providing the venue for the initiative.
He said that such programmes are crucial in empowering the youth of the region by equipping them with skills and guidance necessary for higher education and employment opportunities.
