NGH Police crack down of scooty theft

TURA, July 20: Continuing its crackdown on two wheeler thefts, the North Garo Hills police on Sunday recovered two more stolen scooties following the arrest of a suspected accused in the case from Damra in Assam.
Police arrested accused, Palsrang R Marak (20) aka Chusrang of Tengasot, Damra under Dudhnoi PS, Goalpara Assam in connection with Resubelpara PS case No 13/2025. The stolen scooties were recovered based on leads provided by the arrested accused.
“The accused has been forwarded to the court for further legal proceedings. The North Garo Hills Police remain committed to upholding law and order and ensuring justice through prompt and professional action,” police said.
It may be recalled that a stolen scooty was also recovered earlier on Thursday resulting in the arrest of one person on that occasion.
