Candles lit to honour the memory of a total of 7,737 people whose bodies were incinerated at the Shillong Electric Crematorium in Jhalupara, on Thursday. Shree Shree Kali Puja was performed at Shillong Electric Crematorium, after a gap of 5 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic among other factors. South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai inaugurated the Kali Puja Pandal and lit the candles. Mawbah Rangbah Shnong Aresstone Thabah, Central Puja Committee president Naba Bhattacharjee, besides others also visited the Kali Puja Pandal. Moha Prasad was distributed on Friday.
