War 2 earns over Rs 100 cr in two days
War 2, headlined by Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan, has collected Rs 109.35 crore at the domestic box office in two days. Directed by Ayan Mukherji, War 2 is a sequel to the 2019 film War and also stars Kiara Advani. Produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, the film is a part of the YRF Spy Universe and features Roshan reprising his role as Kabir, a RAW agent. The film released in theatres on Thursday. According to the trade tracking website Sacnilk, War 2 has collected Rs 52 crore on its first day. The film made Rs 57.35 crore on the following day, out of which Rs 44.5 crore came from its Hindi version, and Rs 0.35 crore and Rs 12.5 crore from its Tamil and Telugu versions, respectively. In War 2, rogue agent Kabir will battle elite operative Vikram, played by NTR, in a global chase. Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor round off the cast. NTR, who made his Bollywood debut with the film, said it’s incredible to see the public support. (PTI)
Sophie Turner calls filming for Trust a ‘cathartic’ process
The Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, whose split from Joe Jonas earlier made headlines, has shared that filming Trust was a ‘super cathartic’ process for her. The 29-year-old actress was in the midst of her divorce from Joe during the film’s shoot, and Sophie actually enjoyed being able to throw herself into the project, reports ‘Female First UK’. Sophie, whose character suffers a betrayal in ‘Trust’, said on Late Night with Seth Meyers, “I’m not sure if anyone’s aware, but when I started shooting this movie, I was going through, like, a media hell. So this was super cathartic because I wanted to run away in my real life when that was all happening. But I got to do it in a movie and I got to smash some s*** up, so that was fun”. (IANS)
Anna Faris, Regina Hall to feature in Scary Movie 6
Hollywood actors Anna Faris and Regina Hall are set to return for the sixth installment of the Scary Movie franchise. According to the entertainment news outlet Variety, Faris and Hall will reprise their roles of Cindy and Brenda in the upcoming film from the Wayans brothers. It is slated to release on June 12, 2026. Actor and writer Marlon Wayans, who has featured in two previous installments of the film series, confirmed the news with a post on his official Instagram handle on Friday. It had a throwback picture of Faris and Hall from the first film. They played the roles of Cindy and Brenda, respectively. The caption read SM 6. The franchise began 25 years ago, with the first film Scary Movie released in 2000, which was one of the highest-grossing R-rated horror movies. Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan wished her ‘lion’ husband Saif Ali Khan on his 55th birthday. Taking to the stories section of her Instagram handle, Bebo dropped a picture of a lion sitting in the grass and wrote: “To our Lion…Happy birthday, darling husband…SAKP.” Refreshing your memory, Saif was initially called a ‘lion’ by his doctor earlier this year after he suffered multiple injuries while fending off a burglary attack at his Mumbai residence. In the wee hours of January 16, the ‘Omkara’ actor was woken up by the commotion in his youngest son Jeh’s room. As he went inside the room to check, he found the accused arguing with their house help. Saif intervened to save the house help and fought off the intruder with his bare hands. (IANS)
