SHILLONG, Sep 4: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Meghalaya has made yet another breakthrough in an ongoing NDPS case, recovering 4,000 yaba tablets during a late-night operation at Hotel City Palace in Lapalang.
The haul, weighing 398 grams, comes just a day after a major seizure in the same case of 6,000 yaba tablets. Police have confirmed the arrest of Labius Aregh, identified as the brother-in-law of the hotel owner, following the fresh recovery.
Investigators said efforts are now focused on tracing the wider supply chain and network linked to the contraband.
