SHILLONG, Sep 22: Newly appointed Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Minister, Lahkmen Rymbui, has pledged to transform the otherwise dormant department into a vibrant and proactive one.
Speaking to reporters after reviewing its functioning, Rymbui remarked that the I&PR department has remained inactive even in today’s era of social media and rapid information flow.
“I want this department to actively propagate and inform the public about the policies and achievements of the government,” he said, adding that his priority is to make the I&PR more dynamic and effective.
