SHILLONG, Oct 25: In what can be deemed a proud moment for the Northeast in general and Meghalaya in particular, Santosh Sunar, a Shillong-based innovator, entrepreneur and founder of BeTheGuide and UZB BUZ AI, has brought global recognition to the Northeast with his pioneering creation—BTG AEGIS AI (Autonomous Ethical Guardian Intelligence System).
According to a statement here, this innovation has been officially featured in The National Law Review (USA) and disseminated across over 322 international media and institutional networks, including those linked to NASA, IAEA, NATO, IMF, APEC, WHO and WTO.
The recognition marks a significant milestone, positioning India, and particularly Shillong, as a new voice in the global movement advocating for responsible and ethical artificial intelligence.
Meanwhile, reacting to the feat, Sunar said, “AI must not just be intelligent — it must be accountable. With AEGIS AI, our goal is to ensure that technology remains guided by ethics and human values.”
Built upon his LITT Principle, BTG AEGIS AI is designed to reinforce digital trust, data integrity and decision reliability across diverse sectors, including governance, cybersecurity, and disaster response. It acts as a guardian framework ensuring AI systems operate transparently and responsibly, maintaining a “Human in the Loop” at all times.
“The framework forms a core part of Sunar’s vision for a future where technology and morality evolve together. His philosophy emphasizes that AI should not replace human wisdom—it should reflect it,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, Sunar has expressed hope that this global recognition would inspire a new generation of innovators from the Northeast.
“Shillong has always nurtured creativity and depth. This recognition belongs to every dreamer here who believes ethics and innovation can shape a better world,” he said.
