Natl Lok Adalat settles 151 cases in Meghalaya

SHILLONG, March 14: The National Lok Adalat held across Meghalaya on Saturday settled 151 cases for a total amount of Rs 1,61,66,675.
Organised by the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, the session was conducted in the High Court of Meghalaya and district courts, excluding the Garo Hills region.
According to the authority, a total of 496 cases were taken up, including 168 pre-litigation and 328 pending matters. Of these, 151 were successfully resolved.
The exercise was held under the guidance of High Court of Meghalaya Chief Justice Revati Mohite Dere, and High Court of Meghalaya judges Justice HS Thangkhiew and Justice W. Diengdoh.
