Two persons killed as garbage truck rolls down gorge

Aizawl: Two persons in a garbage disposal truck were killed when it rolled down into a gorge near Vangchhia village in Mizoram-Myanmar border Champhai district, police said on Wednesday.
Police said the accident occured Tuesday while the two were engaged in disposal of garbage.
Hmingthanpuia died soon after he was rescued while the truck driver Darrodenga died on way to Champhai District Hospital, police said.
Autopsy would be performed on the bodies after which funeral would be held at Vangchhia village, the police said. (PTI)
