TURA: Following the lobbing of a grenade, which failed to explode, at Williamnagar Main Market by unidentified miscreants on Thursday, traders downed their shutters on Friday in protest against the incident.
According to sources the grenade was lobbed at a grocery store owned by one Samir Kundu at around 4:30 pm on Thursday. Police sources had initially pointed the finger of suspicion at the GNLA. While strongly condemning the incident the trading community decided to shut down their shops in protest even as they demanded proper action by the administration to ensure their safety.
