Rules soon under Residents Safety and Security Act

SHILLONG: The Chief Minister said that rules related to the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Act will be framed soon.
In reply to a question by Jemino Mawthoh (UDP), Mukul Sangma said that the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Act, 2016, passed by the Assembly, received the assent of the Governor on September 26.
It was published in the Meghalaya gazette on September 27. “Rules for the Act are being framed,” he said.
According to Sangma, advanced measures, including the district task forces and the entry and exit points, have already been initiated.
