JOWAI: The Election of the Dolloi Jowai Elaka will be held on February 14 with a straight fight between the acting Dolloi, Puramon Kynjin and former president of the RJYF, R.K. Ram Rymbai both resident of Jowai- Panaliar and Dulong.
The JHADC has completed the scrutiny and other procedure for smooth conduction of the election. The post of full-fledged Dolloi in Jowai Elaka was lying vacant due to the untimely demised of then Dolloi, late K.C. Rymbai. The Sein Raij Jowai has elected Puramon Kynjing as the acting Dolloi.
The elders of the Sein Raij Tuber were against the election of the acting Dolloi as it was recommended and appointed without the concerned of the elders.
Elders of the Raid Tuber have also decided to support Rymbai whereas people in Jowai were in favour of Kynjing. There are 24532 voters to elect the Dolloi of Jowai Elaka.
