NONGSTOIN: Dwial Lyngkhoi (50) of Tynrongriangkhon village in West Khasi Hills died after she had been hit by a truck at Riangdo near BDO Office at around 10.30 A.M
Sources said that the truck bearing a registration No. ML 06 0182 driven by Shaibor Mawlieh (22) of Nongryngkew A hit a 50-year- old woman when she was walking on foot near BDO Office in Riangdo.
The 50-year-old woman received injury and shifted to Riangdo CHC by 108 Ambulance where she died on the way.
Legal formalities were conducted and the dead body handed over to the bereaved family.
In connection with the matter a case has been registered and the investigation against the matter was on.
