Metropolis 2018 gets on roll on Thursday

SHILLONG: The quality of being urbane transcends beyond bricks and mortar. Urbanity is a test of human skills. It is a quest. It is a quench never satisfied. “METROPOLIS” is a portrayal of this meta- reality.

The Metropolis  2018  in its 6th edition this year will be held in Shillong  and it is one of its kind open air festival   and an attempt to know more about the issue   that now stands at threat, to begin an odyssey to celebrate the richness  and the scare resources that mother so lovingly still bestows upon us.

The three-day festival which will begin on Thursday, will be held  at State Central Library, All Saints Hall and Shillong Club

The theme for this year event is “The Earth Connect and the Urban winter festival  is on such festival  with numerous activities from  art to music, fashion, sports, adventure and many others.

During the three-day event, a host of activities like  Eco Crusader,  a dustbin making art competition, art installation in and around the venue  using waste materials, urban sketching, Cycledelic,  will be organised.

In addition, the festival will also have a show by Niha Novacain,  renowned cosplay artiste and other performers.

In addition,19  bands would also perform during the event out of which  15 are from Shillong itself.
