JOWAI: A body was found floating in a pond near Rajasthan Hotel (Dhaba) under Pasyih village, West Jaintia Hills on Tuesday.
According to Police, the male body seems to be a tribal aged between 45 to 50 years old. It is suspected that the person went to wash clothes and has been accidentally drowned.
They were no injury marks in the deceased except some old burn marks on his hand and knees with leprosy mark on his forehead. The body was removed to Civil Hospital for autopsy and Police requested anybody who has any missing person to come to the Hospital to identify the body.
