ICAR conclave brings buyers, sellers on one platform

SHILLONG: The National Agri-business Entrepreneurship Conclave started at ICAR Research Complex at Umiam with an aim to bring buyers and sellers on the same platform.
There were about 500 participants and more than 80 stalls and 33 agri-business experts from all over India were present.
The inaugural session began with the lighting of the traditional ceremonial lamp by dignitaries.
Dr N Prakash, director of ICAR, welcomed the delegates in his inaugural address he emphasised on the need for bridging the gap between farmers and entrepreneurs. He highlighted that ICAR plays a key role in providing the missing link between stakeholders.
Allantry F Dkhar, Political Advisor and Secretary to Chief Minister, appreciated ICAR’s efforts in bringing a change in the primary sector. The institute awards were also presented on the occasion.
