SHILLONG: Congress MLA Charles Pyngrope has termed the mob attack on police personnel guarding the NGT check gate at Tuber Sohshrieh, East Jaintia Hills on May 1 as total failure of law and order.
Speaking to The Shillong Times, he said, “How can policemen be attacked? It is a total failure of law and order. When the law enforcement agencies can come under attack, what about you and me?”
He said people will raise questions when such incidents occurs. Pyngrope said the incident calls for an inquiry.
