Assam Rifles organises run

SHILLONG: Assam Rifles organised a ‘Run for India’ in all its garrisons here in sync with the ‘Fit India Campaign’ launched by the Centre.
The main event was organised at the DGAR headquarter, Laitkor which was flagged off by Sangeeta Sangwan, President ARWWA and Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan, DG Assam Rifles, a statement said.
Officers, JCOs, OR and their families as well as children from ARPS Shillong actively participated in the 4-km run, an initiative towards leading a fit and healthy lifestyle.
More such events will follow in the near future too, the statement said.
