Two CRPF men accused of sodomy

SHILLONG: A driver of a vehicle requisitioned by police and a new Meghalaya Police recruit have filed separate complaints against two CRPF personnel for indulging in sodomy against them.

In the first complaint, the driver, one Raju Koch, has alleged that on May 30 at around 7 am, a CRPF man of the E-Coy from the CoBRA team attempted to commit an unnatural offence against him at Baljek Airport in West Garo Hills.

In the second case, the new recruit identified as Lembadme Suchiang, lodged a complaint at the Tura police station that on June 9 and 10, a CRPF personnel of T-Coy had attempted to sodomise him at the CRPF camp at Jengjal adjacent to the Baljek Airport.

Police have not released the names of the accused.

Sources from the police said that inquiry into the two cases has already been initiated and stern action would be taken after thorough investigation.
