Unitarian Church ‘Quasqui Centenary’ celebrations conclude

 JOWAI: The year-long 125th Anniversary of the Unitarian Church in Khasi-Jaintia and Karbi- Anglong (Assam) concluded on Saturday at the Jowai Unitarian Church.

The Quasqui Centenary celebrations kicked off on June 15 last year. On Saturday, the President, General Assembly Unitarian and Free Christain Churches, UK, Ms. Lis Dyson blessed the closing ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, she reminded that to be a member of Unitarian one should live a life according to his or her individual freedom of belief.

Member of Parliament, Vincent H Pala, MLA Remington Pyngrope and Jowai Central MDC, Moonlight Pariat also attended the closing ceremony function besides leaders of the Unitarian and Universalist including Rev. Gary Smith and Rev. John Gibbons both from USA, President, International Council of Unitarian and Universalist, Rev. Brian Kiely from Canada and Rev. David Gyero from Romania.
