Three KSU members arrested

SHILLONG: Police on Saturday arrested three KSU volunteers for torching haystacks at Pynthorbah. The arrested persons are Paul Miki Kharkongor, Jerry Mawthoth and Tonbor Wankhar, all hailing from Pynthorbah block.

In another incident, three boys were arrested on the final night of road blockade on Friday for assaulting a driver of a police vehicle at Mawiong.

“When police mobile party parked their vehicle at Mawiong on Friday night, the driver went to a shop to buy Kwai. All of a sudden three boys came in a local Taxi (ML 10 2909) and started assaulting him,” East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrang said.

The police team immediately apprehended the trio.
