Body of missing mill manager found

JOWAI: Police have recovered the body of a manager of a sawmill — Shekar Singh (55), who has been missing since September 28, inside the mill premises at Kyndongtuber village. Police suspect that Singh was murdered by his fellow workers inside the mill and later dumped the body covering it with sawdust.

The owner of the sawmill Dimon Pakma first spotted the decomposed body on Tuesday. Sources also informed that the manager might have been killed about two weeks ago.

The Manager who hailed from Bihar was working with two other workers, both Bengalee whom he himself employed in the sawmill.

Jowai police have registered a case in this regard and the police are investigating to nab the accused persons involved in the murder.
